Hello,

Hoping for some insight. The A-D input bank on my DP32SD and non-funtion. Regardless of assignment, input type, trim level, etc. Banks E-H work perfectly. I have factory reset, the latest firmware is installed and all other aspects of the console work perfectly. The console is free from any visible defect or damage, and internally there also does not appear to be any visible deffects. One quirk, is once the console has been powered off for an good period, when powered back on, the "OL" indicator light above the trim knobs, only for bank A-D, will randomly flash, as if running through some sort of sequence (no lines plugged in). I am at a complete loss, and hoping this is an issue someone else has faced and overcome, although despite an exhaustive amount of research, can find nothing speaking to this exact issue...Thoughts?

Welcome to the forum. I don't have any direct experience of this fault, but the fact that it's confined to the block of 4 left hand inputs suggests it's either the board (assuming there's a separate PCB for each bank), or a connection problem.

You say it seems ok internally so I guess you've taken it apart. If you're competent with handling static-sensitive circuits, I would get hold of the service manual which shows the PCBs, connectors and schematics (it's freely available on the internet), and try re-seating the relevant connectors.

If all else fails, the board itself may be faulty, in which case it's a repair job.
Good luck, and keep us posted.

Thanks so much for the reply, sir.

Update: This one is worth filing in your book of knowledge.

Turns out, as simple as it sounds, the SDHC card was partially bad. The console still recognized it, did not throw any SD error code, and functioned normally, as stated on banks E-H. For what ever reason in my trouble shoooting process, I decided to attempt a PC format of the card, and wouldn't you know it, the PC would not recognize the card. I then simply replaced the old card with a new SDHC 32gb, and Eureka!!...all channels began functioning normally again.

So apparently if the card develops a bad read/write leg, and although the console still recognizes it, the processor may freak out a bit.

Thanks so much, and I hope this helps someone else down the line.

Wow, that was unexpected so thank you for sharing the outcome.
We knew the sd-card caused many types of anomalous behaviour and we're always banging on about the importance of using a recommended card, but I don't recall seeing something as drastic as this.
Glad you got it sorted.
