Advice please. Recently bought a Model 24

Hi. Im new to the model 24(and to this forum) but slowly coming to grips with it. However Im having an issue with lag when I stop a track. It dosnt stop instantly. Its only a fraction of a second but the problem is I hear it in the playback after Ive recorded a punch out with a footswitch. Any ideas as to what would cause the lag sound? Thanks
