Dear All,
This one might pique your interest. A DA-88 which, when the power is turned on illuminates every lamp, LED and display segment, then does nothing more. I suspect the following:
1: The main processor is not coming out of reset or is not powered.
2: The CPU clock has failed or is not powered.
3: The firmware ROM has failed or if it is removable, has a bad contact or contacts.
4: A watchdog (if fitted) has gone bad and is forcing condition "1".
I wondered if there are any sage words of advice out there before I make an extra strong pot of tea, take the lid off and start fault-finding?
Regards,
Rupert.
