Boot up issue

Hello Tascam aficionados,

I have a problem with my old buddy SX1, the unit does not boot up with the usual procedure.
Indeed, faders don' t calibrate and stay stuck in the upper position. The song loads but no way to move the faders they resist and stay up.
After 14 or 15 attempts ON/OFF it finally opens the last active project, faders do the calibration procedure but the unit refuses to load a new project and stays on the last open one.
Looks like the end of the road for this 15 year lifetime companion... Any suggestions or have you experienced this issue too ? Is it repairable ? Worth the try in matter of cost ?

I've had these problems but not simultaneously. I kept on rebooting which finally solved the problem. I realize this reply doesn't help much but I'm simply telling about my experiences so far.
