Bouncing a track

hello all. Two weeks under my belt and pretty comfortable with my DP24. Quick question though. If I wanted to say add chorus to an already recorded track. Do I just bounce and add chorus effect through channel mixer?

Actually I don't have any trouble bouncing the track but the volume of the bounced track is very low. Any tips ?
