It is safe to assume a 644 Midistudio play tapes recorded on a 244 Portastudio and other similar decks?

I would say so depending on noise reduction use. But it should all play anyway.

How about vice versa? I have a lot of MS 644 tapes and looking for a smaller option to play them.
