Can I make the monitor send Pre fader?

I have the 2400 mixer. Is there any way to fix it so that the monitor send is Pre fader and not Post? I have my external Alesis Midiverb routed into the mixer and it shows up in Monitor feed #1. If I have a vocal coming in on a fader and then turn up the reverb by turning the Monitor 1 knob on that track. It adds the reverb fine, but when I lower the volume of the fader, the reverb doesn't get lowered like a normal analog mixer. I'm using this mixer really as an analog mixer with Sonar and the MOTU AVB Ultralite audio interface.
