DAWs in conjunction with DPP008EX?

Hi folks.

Full disclosure - I have zero experience with DAWs and normally like to work with hardware only. However, I learned about something today called RX Elements, a digital audio repair package which scans and removes humming, clicking, clipping etc (please see below).

My question is - could this be used in conjunction with my DP008EX portastudio by exporting tracks/songs to my PC? Up until now, I was under the impression that you had to either go down the hardware or software route and that they couldn't be combined.

Any thoughts or advice welcome!

No, this is absolutely possible. Any .wav audio file (and many other types ofcourse) can be handled by DAWs. So if your hardware can export and later import these, you're good to go.

Before handing your cash to iZotope, also consider other options. Personally I like Acon Digital (restoration suite) very much - even though it doesn't look as fancy.. Check it out (I have no affiliation to them, just a fan): https://acondigital.com/products/restoration-suite/

I've been experimenting with Audacity a lot. Great fun! Didn't realise it was so easy to drag the WAV files on there!

Thanks for the recommendation, Arjan, however, I had already managed to get RX Elements for a tenner by the time I read your post.
