Wondering if they ever made full track mono reel or headstack. Would prefer 1/4" variety just wanted to see if such a thing exists. I am thinking of mixing to Mono and would love a machine that is affordable (ie not a studer/nagra/ampex). any suggestions?
Did TEAC/Tascam ever make a Full Track Mono Reel?

I don't remember seeing one but the task is just one of taking a good transport and getting a mono head from JRF and putting it on the machine and setting it up. A ATR700 might do just as good a job using all that tape and properly adjusted. You don't need mono as much as a single 1/2 track channel and I would use the right one in the tape further.
