DP-006 Stereo Recording Problem

I've used my DP-006 happily for months, but in that time I've only made mono tracks. I had an idea to record two different drum machines using one as left and the other right, but when I turn the input to stereo I hear Input A through both ears still and can't hear Input B at all.

I've made sure Track 3 and 4 are stereo and tried recording to track 3 to see if I could only hear it while recording, but I still heard Input A on both sides and Input B was still silent. I even played back the recording and it was the same.

Is there something I'm missing?

Nevermind, not sure how I fixed it, possibly by starting the unit in Stereo mode? But I was able to get the stereo recording to work.
