DP 03 built in mic question

Hi everyone! I just bought a DP 03 and I get white noise while using both of the built in mics (recording and playback. )
I tried an AKG mic with no noise.
Most of the users seems to be satisfied with the built un mics. Do you think my unit has a problem?

I just got mine and it has background noise too. It is probably mostly noise that is actually there in your environment. If you use a dynamic mic with a cardioid pattern like many vocal mics for live use then you will experience that a lot of this noice is not captured during recording because those mics only captures noise from within the area covered by its pattern.

What I found more annoying about the built-in mics is they can't help but record your button press while hitting stop, and it seemed very loud for me. I wish they didn't make the stop button so "clicky."
