DP-03SD + drum machine?

Hi there, new to this device. I know it does not have midi connections, but wondering if there is any creative way to sync the clock with an external drum machine? I was trying to record a song at 160bpm and even if I set the tempo on the drum machine and the portastudio to the same BPM, the timing starts to diverge a bit after about 1.5 minutes. Any advice would be much appreciated, it just makes copy/paste editing not really feasible.

Hi Tom, and welcome to the forums! The only reliable way is going back to the 70's/80's: SMPTE timecode. It will cost you 1 track on the DP and your drum machine needs to create/read it or you need other equipment to translate to/from MIDI-SMPTE. There should be some topics around these forums about this subject.
