Hello friends.

I have recorded some music.

I go to the Mastering screen.

There I see TOTAL TIME : 00:00:15

I did set the IN point to 00:00:00

I did set the OUT point to 02:25:00

So the total time is 2:25.

Why is the Mastering screen showing 00:00:15?

I've read the Manual and searched for a reason for this, but Mastering / Total Time isn't discussed anywhere that I can see.

Anyone had this issue and resolved it?

Regards,

I'm normally not much of a problem-solver around here...I haveta remember which way the pointy end of the git'r goes every time I sit down to play...
BUT - I've had a similar occurrence. I'll describe it, on the chance it's happened to you. I ran on 2488's for ages, and now use a DP-32...but I think it's the same for both:

The Mastering process is showing the length of the mixed-down track...it doesn't allow you to set In or Out points. This is done during the recording of the MIXDOWN.

I've done a mixdown where I have my In/Out points set as you describe (at the start and very end of the recorded material). Once set to go, I'll press [Record] to create the mixed-down stereo track.
Then I suddenly notice a mistake, missed setting, whatever...and press [Stop]. This creates a mixed-down stereo recording that cuts off at that time (for you, 0:15?). So if I proceeded to the Master screen, it would show that abbreviated recording.

Resolution: you have to start the mixdown/master process again - setting the In/Out points as you described - and record the entire mixdown until the END is reached (I can't remember if the unit stops itself?).
THEN, enter Mastering, and the full-length recording should be there.

Yep - that was it!
Thanks shredd.
Dang. Looks like a couple hours away from my Jack Daniels I.V. drip turned me into a rocket surgeon!
Glad to help!!!😁

Well...that's my excuse and I'mma stickin' to it. Don't want anyone thinkin' I'm too stewpyd to run a DP...
Although - when I have routing problems that an idjyut could figger out...it's hard to think otherwise. Brain Death is SO sad, don'tcha think?!? 😜

Well done @shredd! Now you know which direction the pointy end faces!

Thnx @-mjk- ...I'm delighted to be able to make a tangible contribution to someone's question...now I can get back to figuring out how to turn on the phantom power for my SDC...😆
