I'm new to compression. I am trying to compress final master rather than track by track.

i know there are library's, is this the best approach ?
best to use multi or single compression ? with or without Eq added ?

do you have to make a new master after normalizing if you screw up, or does it save as a separate file ?

I suggest you read the manual about Mastering, and specifically the part about "undo."

You cannot make decisions like compression type or EQ like some kind of rule. If you're new to Mastering, you can use the library and see what sounds best to you. But like any preset, it's just a starting place.
