DP-24SD freezes during mixing

Just what the title says. Lately every time I mix down the machine freezes. Can't go to mastering, go back, power down, can't do anything, I have to unplug. Then after I power back up I go to mastering and after that, it also freezes. Can't Normalize, nothing. Again I have to unplug, then I can go to mixing/mastering and finalize. It's very frustrating. My last DP-24SD did the same thing, but that was after 5 years, this is under a year. Any help before I send it back?

Have you updated to the latest firmware and are you using an SD card from the approved list?

Those are the first two critical things to eliminate as possible causes.

Next - make sure you have "delete unused" and if you have tracks with a lot of edits - it's important that you export those to the audio depot folder and then import them back which will clean up the "fragmentation" that builds up with lots of editing.

How do I update the firmware? I do have approved SD cards.
