I have a hundred questions to ask about this.

I'm using it for a DSLR film, and am not a sound expert. Whatever question I have there will always be another one.
Is there any altruistic person able to answer all my questions.

At the moment I sent it back as the XLR cable jammed in the input the day I bought it. When I contacted Tascam, they said there were only two brands of XLR I should use with it, but I thought an XLR was an XLR !

this is rather disturbing information, A XLR is a standard cable and has been for years. you should be able to mix and match them with whatever as long as they have the standard three pin configuration. We were thinking of picking up a unit, but now I am not so sure
