I found a used DM4800 for sale very cheap, but I knew that many of the faders were not moving. The brain of the unit seems good and it came with a meter bridge (which I didn't have) and a IF-FW mkii card as well as with a pile of assorted pieces of outdated gear. The woman selling was very nice and had bought it with a flight case as part of a storage space auction. I couldn't fit the flight case in my car, so I didn't buy that. I don't need two mixers but the screen perfect and again it came with extras. Is there anything I can do to salvage the faders? I have an old unused DM24. Same motors? I also have another DM4800 that was water damaged. Some of its faders may work, but probably not. Ideas, suggestions?
