I have just started getting my gear setup to record a lot more. I haven't had much issues with my guitar sound, 2 mics for 2 amps. it sounds good, but there is the amp noise coming through which is annoying, though once I am playing and the drums are going on, it isn't noticeable. my 2 main issues as I start recording again on this is, the source volume isn't loud enough sometimes, while I know I have to turn my amps up more, I don't always want them blaring. I can't really find a way to turn the signal up more other than the knobs towards the top, I can only turn up the monitor volume coming in.
the 2nd thing is, the sound seems to have a kind of far away feeling. some demos I have heard on youtube sound really good. I know I should get a mixer at some point. what would be some good ones for me to look at for starters. I will be going through american musical supply, as they are amazing with their payment plans that ship the item after the first payment!
