!!!HELP NEED DM24 WITH LOGIC AS CONTROL SURFACE

just recently bought a dm24 i want to use it as a control surface to do mixdowns with in logic pro 9 i need to know how to hook it up so far i have a midi cable going from the midi out from the dm24 and into the midi in on my AVID Mbox 3 and mbox connected to my mac through usb i dont no how to set up the dm 24 for this at all please help me just want it to control logics faders and transport

Hi All
I have purchaed an old TASCAM DM 24 from ebay for some simple recordings.
It is installed with TASCAM IF/FW firewire card
Some how I am unable to install the mixer to my computer via firewire. During installation process when I am prompted to CONNECT THE MIXER & TURN iT ON , I do the same but the computer does not find the mixer and same prompt appears again and again. I have tried at 2-3 different computers which are having firewire port or card..I have also replaced several cables..But no success....though there appears no physical damage
Plz help me fix this problem
