Hook two DP-24's up

Evening all! I'm trying to relieve a previous model 24 (with the cd burner) from a guy who doesn't use it , he doesn't know how. I think he inherited it from an old band member or something.

I thought I saw a thread previously about using two units in tandem, I had a quick scan on the forum pages but no luck.

Are there any conflicts or problems, can they be synced together? etc. etc.

Two of the original DP-24s can be synced using MIDI (one set to master, the other to slave). It's covered in the OM, available on the TASCAM web site:

It's cake! I had my dp-24 setup as the master and my 2488 neo as the slave and it worked perfectly with a single MIDI cable. It also worked perfectly with the 2488 as the master and the dp-24 as the slave.

Takes about 2 minutes. Give it a shot.

Scott, the newer sd-24s don't have midi.

Sorry, I didn't know one of yours is the sd version. Nothing to do in that case. It's really sad that Tascam removed such a useful feature. MIDI might not be a deal breaker for a 4 or 8 track but it's a must-have for anything large IMO.
