I recently bought a tascam 388 and it was seemingly in full working order. I recorded some demos and used it for about a month before the transport display started acting strange, and soon thereafter shorted out completely.
Now there is no digital transport display, and the transport buttons don't work at all. Before it totally broke the transport would occasionally stop in the middle of playing.
Otherwise though, the thing appears to be powered on. my hunch is the problem is local to the transport.
Has anyone experienced something like this?
