I have signal on my M12, but no sound in my record

Hello, I'm trying to record to the SD card of my Tascam M12 using the live mode of my channel strip. The problem is: I don't see any lights on the Output Level indicators when I play my instrument, regardless of which channel I plug into. And unsurprisingly, there's no sound at the end of the recording.

I do have a signal on the monitor and sound on my speakers, my track is definitely in live mode, and I've tried pretty much every setting, but nothing works.

Do you have any suggestions, or have you encountered this issue before?

@Cren,I'm not an owner/user of the Model series, but TASCAM owner manuals usually have a pretty good "getting started" section to walk new users through the basic recording process. If you've followed those instructions and aren't printing to the SD card, the only thing that comes to mind is you forgot to press the channel "Rec" button.

If you have all the basics covered with no joy, then your best bet might be to look through the sticky threads or search the forum. You may find quickly something to get you pointed in the right direction.
