Intermittent repeating vocal

Here's a new one on me...using Auto Punch on DP-24SD i inserted a 5 second vocal line. When I play it back, sometimes, but not ALL the time, the insert keeps repeating (the rest of the song continues on) Half the time it keeps repeating, half the time the vocal continues to the next line as it should.

I don't recall hitting any button that I shouldn't.
Latest software installed
SD card OK---been using it a couple of months with no problems.
