Locked track files on SD card

When I bring files from my SD card into my Mac computer, the main folder unlocked, but all the individual track files are locked. I am able to copy them to my hard drive, but moving them makes duplicates. If I "get info" on the files, I have to uncheck the "lock" radio button for each file. It's not the end of the world, but somewhat inconvenient. Is there a way to make these files fully unlocked as I transfer them to my computer.

BTW, my Model 12 is not near my computer, so transferring files via the SD card is my work flow.

On Mac you can use the inspector to apply/remove the protection flag to the song folder and all its content. One mouse click.

Thanks for your response. I'm aware of HOW to remove the flag; I'm just curious WHY I have to do this in the first place. This isn't part of my workflow for all my other removable media (all my photo/video/and non-Tascam audio SD cards, flash drives, SSDs, electronically transferred files, etc.). I'm guessing it may be something to do with how the Model 12 formats or writes song file data to the SD card.

Files are created as read-only by design from firmware release 1.01.

Thanks for pointing that out. It makes sense I suppose to protect the files when using the Model 12 with a DAW.
