Tascam M-106
Hello. I just bought a Tascam M-106 for recording purposes, and none of the line inputs work. All of the mic inputs seem to be working, but I refuse to use the mic inputs because the mixer began smoking under load when I did. That was likely my fault. Regardless, I need the line inputs to work and I do not know what could be wrong with em or how I would fix that.

I can provide as much information as necessary. I just need someone to point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. The schematics are in the user manual if that's any help. I just downloaded one from pdfcoffee.com, but there are other sites if you search.
The line inputs bypass the mic pre-amps and other circuitry so if the latter are working (although smoking doesn't bode well), it may just be a switch problem.

Once you let the smoke out though.... hard to put it all back in.
