Is there any chance this is possible? With a bit of Googling it looks like folks have had success with Tascam Midiizer and other 3rd party remotes, and a few computer applications have been written to control the TSR-8 as well. Has anybody ever tried to control a TSR8 with their DM? Is it within the realm of possibility? Thanks

I have a TSR-8 and will try to sync it up to The Tascam. I have synced the TSR-8 in the past, and the easiest, cheapest, is to record SMPTE on channel 8, and run time code from the RCA jack on the back of the mixer to the input of track 8. I'll give this a shot and check back in...but it should work no problems, as it has before.

Other than that, Tascam ES-50 or Tascam MTS 1000 midiizer will do the job without striping the tape to timecode. The only loss, is channel 8 if you stripe time code.
