First time using a brand new Model 12 bought from Amazon, not second hand. Channels 1/2 won't send audio to the computer via USB, all the other channels are sending audio to Ableton no problem. Channels 1/2 are receiving audio fine, just not sending to the computer. I've tried everything for hours, and I know my way around a studio as I've been producing for over 20 years. Is this a known issue? I can't use the mixer if two of the channels won't send audio. I've checked the manual, switched between Live, PC and MTR to see if that's a sticky switch, everything.... Frustrating part is all the other channels work and Ableton sees the two channels in the Input section, it's just not receiving audio.

Thanks in advance

Also, the Model Mixer application shows channels 1/2 coming into the computer no problem, which is even stranger. I've used Ableton forever and everything is set up fine on that end, as I mentioned all the other channels with the exact same settings are getting signal no problem...

Welp... I tried it with Logic and all the channels come in fine. So it seems to be an Ableton issue. Anyone else experience this?

Hi all,

I thought this was a Model 12 problem, but seems it's an Ableton one... I've been working in studios for 20 years using logic, ableton, reaper, etc so I know my way around input routing etc.

First time setting up the Model 12 with Ableon 12 and it sees all the input channels. I have signal going to all of them, and they all appear in the Model Mixer Meter app just fine. But channels 1/2 won't send signal to Ableton. I fired up Logic, and it can hear and record all the channels no problem.

I've spent hours on this issue so I'm here to see if anyone else has encountered this? Really messing up my setup to not be able to record two of the channels.

Thank in advance

So it turns out Ableton is getting a very very very weak signal from 1/2. If I crank the gain all the way till it's distorting and totally unusable, Ableton will get a bit of a signal. Logic is receiving normal strength signal on all channels no problem. Anyone have this issue or may know what is going on? I've isolated it to Ableton and it's very bizarre and frustrating.

EUREKA I found the solution, thanks to this above thread. Apple Mic Isolation Mode. For some reason it didn't affect Logic. This was driving me insane, if anyone else has this problem it's the stupid built in mic on a Macbook
