Model 12 + Zoom + W10 Sound Settings

What is the proper Windows setting for Microphone Properties (Advanced tab) for use with Zoom; 2-channel or 12-channel? The Model 12 manual (Page 70 item 7) makes it clear that a 2-channel setting should be used for OBS but there is no recommendation for Zoom. When using the 2-channel setting, I can only use microphones connected on channels 1 and 2 as input to Zoom. To use mics connected to channel 3 and above I have to switch to 12-channel mode. My brother also has a model 12 and he is able to use mics on all channels (3 and above) with a 2-channel setting. We have checked that the mixer settings on both units are the same. Both mixers are at firmware 1.22 and both Windows 10 computers have the same maintenance level. So we are not sure whether we should be using a 2-channel or 12-channel setting and we also don't understand why we are not getting the same results with 2-channel.

I had all kinds of trouble getting sound from the M12 to go to Windows applications, including Zoom, until I found a strange work-around with the sound settings. TASCAM just release 1.23 of the firmware and it fixed the issue for me. See my thread for additional details:
