My Model 24 had two issues.
One is that the low EQ pot on channel 3 makes a loud distorted sound when touched or turned. I have to wiggle it to get it to stop. It's much louder than anything I'd expect from the usual dusty pot. I tried cleaning it with Deoxit D5 and it had no effect.
Also, the headphone jack just stopped working. I had bee using it with no issue until yesterday. I confirmed that the issue is not with the headphones themselves. I have the headphone volume all the way up. Sound is passing through the monitors with no problem. If I turn the main out all the way up, I can hear sound through the headphones faintly. It was doing this and other funky things prior to upgrading the firmware, which I did a few weeks ago.
I've only had the Model 24 for 3 months. Are this type of quality control issues common with newer Tascam stuff?
Thanks!
