Model 24 freeze

Hi there,
I’m experiencing a serious issue with my Tascam Model 24. For the past three days, the unit freezes on the startup screen (“Tascam Model 24”) and takes about 25–30 minutes before it fully turns on (now 40 mins).

I have already tried the following steps:

•⁠ ⁠Removed the SD card
•⁠ ⁠Updated and reinstalled the latest firmware

Unfortunately, the issue persists.


Can anyone help me?

@kw1987, I don't own/use any of the Model series, but if you provide more detail about your setup/use (TASCAM tested/approved SD card; stand-alone or not; etc.) perhaps that will generate some discussion.

Also, searching the Model 24/16/12 forum may turn up related threads/posts that might help get you pointed in the right direction.

I searched the entire Model’s forum section before opening the thread, but I couldn’t solve the issue… in the end, it turned out to be a hardware problem.
