Model 24 Master Volume Fader

Hello! I'm a new owner of the Tascam Model 24 and I need a little help. Though the internet (specifically youtube) has been quite helpful in getting me started with this board, I've hit a bump in the road, and need some assistance. Right now I'm just testing out the board and trying to get familiar with the basic functions. Last night I recorded a few tracks and noticed during playback that the master fader had no effect on the overall volume of the tracks being played back. What am I missing? Thanks!

Alright. I spoke with Robbie over at Tascam and the answer is, the master fader only effects the over all sound / volume coming out of the main outputs. To truly monitor and mix at the same time, with the master fader, you have to use speakers or a headphone amp through the main xlr outputs. It's kinda weird you can't preform the same task using the headphones or control room inputs.
