MX-2424 24 Bit switching problem Please help

Hello All.
I have an MX2424. Quite simply, I can't get it to switch into 24 bit mode. In fact, I can't it to switch to any other record mode other than the one it is in? When I enter set up and change the bit rate, it gives me a "Can't change record type" error message. I've been all through this, I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Any guidance appreciated.

Hi victor,

You can only set the sample and bit rate when creating a new project, you cannot change an existing project.

If you export files to a DAW you can do the conversion there.

I should ask, have you started recording a project with the wrong settings, or have you imported files into the mx that have a different bit rate?

For example if you have a new 24bit project and import 16bit files the project will revert to 16 bit.
