New firmware for the Model Series

TASCAM released a firmware update for the older Models, main feature is the compatibility with the Meter app which substantially transforms any connected pc into a level meter bridge. The Model 2400 has already this feature and doesn't need to be updated.

Firmware versions:
Model 2400 >>> no update needed
Model 24 >>> v1.70
Model 16 >>> v1.40
Model 12 >>> v1.50

Maintenance items
- The MAIN metering point on the LCD screen has been changed from MAIN post-fader to MAIN bus (pre-fader).
Previously, the MAIN meter display point on both LED and LCD screens was post-fader,
but this change makes it easier to distinguish between pre- and post-levels of the MAIN bus.

- Operation stability has been improved.

What is this meter app? None such is available in the Apple store.

I bet they did not try to cramp all tracks into a single display screen!
I would not mind thinner bars opposed to switching back and forth between the metering screens (the track number in a square could be replaced by a number with an underscore).

Download it directly from the Tascam website. The meter bridge is part of the Tascam ModelMixer Settings Panel app developed for the Model 2400. Some Model 24 / 16 / 12 owners asked Tascam to extend support to other Models and Tascam responded positively.

Seems it is not for me since I steered away from PC in the studio, because of the never ending demanding notices.
