New US-16x08 cause crashes in Sonar and Finale

If the box is off or unplugged Sonar or Finale won't open. When I deleted the software everything thing was fine.

Make sure your US-16x08 is connected before starting Sonar.

When I start Sonar without connecting the unit, it just tells me that the sound card is not available, but it does open. Hmmm

Everything is the latest. Brand new Dell 8. whatever w/16 gb Sonar Platinum

Have you tried different USB ports? Especially if you're trying to use a USB3 port. USB3 is not universally good at use with USB2 devices.

BTW, saying "Latest" isn't as helpful as you might think. If you want specific answers, you have to provide specific info

Dell xps 8700 The problem is not usb. The probem is when the unit is disconnected Finale and Sonar won't open. (unless I delete the Tascam software)
