Ever since I purchased the DM-4800 four years ago, this community has been my oasis for knowledge. I have decided to become a member which should have happened a long time ago but I am here now. Anyhow, I am currently stuck between a rock and a hard place with what seems to be the typical cry of all owners of my machine and similar with regards to the "not enough memory" issue in CAKEWALK. Like most who has the 3200 or the 4800, we have the issue of low memory or disappearing firewire card in the "control surface" section of Cakewalk. Its like I've been living in the preference section of This DAW as of late which has been extremely counterproductive and frustrating. Mind you, I've updated drivers for both the DM-4800 as well as my firewire card(IEEE 1394 Bus Host Controllers). Still the result is the same(no audio, I do see the audio meter in the DAW on screen as well as on the bridge of the 4800, it is not however showing on the main outs of the bridge. Instead, it is showing on the 23-24 strips of the bridge as well as in the Mixer Companion in my pc, but not on the stereo main main outs of the console. I have even replaced the firewire card. All this happened four days ago after switching from Cakewalk by Bandlab to Cakewalk Sonar due to seven run by CbB. What am I missing? Please and thank you!!!
