No mark function on model 24?

Hi,

I can't make the Mark function to work on my Model 24. I changed the f4 button on the menu from fx to mark but when I return to the main screen f3 and f4 are blank. Using firmware 1.50

Anyone else with this issue?

The function buttons F1 to F4 change functions, depending on the current screen being displayed. If less than 4 functions are available, some buttons will be blank, starting with F4 and down.

I have searched the user manual and cannot find a reference to a mark function. What screen does that appear on?

Go to Menu -> System -> Key Function -> and it should show "F4 Key Mark" if the setting has been applied.

F3 will be empty and F4 will just have the word "mark" You press F4 to set a new mark.

Tascam's documentation has become so bad that its very hard to information.

But, I did stumble upon this in the release notes:

"[NOTE]
The mark function cannot be used with songs created on a Model 24 running firmware version 1.32 or older."

If you are working on an song that you created on older firmware, that could be the answer.
