I have just found my old Porta 07 at the back of a cupboard - and it still powers up !
The problem (and the reason that it was in the cupboard) is that powering up is irratic. Pressing the switch sometimes powers the unit up, sometimes it doesn't.
I opened it up and it looks like the switch is attached directly to a board, so may be difficult to remove. I found a pdf of the Service Manual online and there is not a lot on information on the switch, other than it being called S601 (or possibly S602).
Does anyone know if it is possible to repair the switch ?
If not, is it possible to replace it - and where would I get a replacement ?
