Portastudio 464 slightly too fast

hey guys! my portastudio 464 has always run a little bit fast-- instead of leaving the pitch knob at 12:00, it's running at the proper speed at about 9:30.. any idea how this could get resolved? all other features work perfectly, i would just like to see if i can get this sorted so i can burn more consistent tapes!!

note-- the high speed channel plays back at the proper speed with the pitch control knob at noon!! so this is just an issue with normal speed (listening to commercial tapes)
