Regarding the compressor

I've googled, I've checked this forum, I've read the manual... But nothing works!

I just can't for the life of me get the compressor to work. Can it only work in recording mode? Is it impossible to put the compression on an already recorded track? And if you can, how do you do it? And if you can't, what are the options?

I believe dynamic effects like compression can only be assigned to the inputs while recording.

If you want compression on a track after it has been recorded. Press effect button, press F1 button until you get the guitar effects, press F3 button until you reach the compressor tab, press F4 to turn it on, select the track wher you want the compression to go, go to mixer screen and toggle over and activate the insert effect, then you may go back to the effect button and tweak to taste.

I found out you can use them for mixing but I can only get it to work on 1 track.Just turn on and insert effect.I try to do it on another track but it shuts the first one off.
