The control interface of the US428 is not perfect, but I find many of its function very useful with my old Cubase VST 5.1. I have often thought of upgrading to a newer interface, especially since no current DAWs are likely to work with it. But none compare with the features of the US428. I need 2 midi ins and outs, 4 inputs, at least 2 outputs for monitoring, and the traditional style tape recorder and mixer features of the Tascam.
