Setting Up Tascam DM 4800 With Logic Pro X but there is a loud, constant hiss

When I set the FireWire card up in logic there’s a really loud hiss.

I can play audio through iTunes fine through the Tascam but as soon as it’s through logic there’s a hiss.

I have used my Mackie big knob as a comparison and there’s no issue with that but as soon as I change it to the Tascam there’s a bunch of noise.

Any thoughts on how to get the hiss to stop?

@Kris Stangeland One of the first things that I would try is another DAW. Several are free and this would rule out the Fire Wire card as the culprit. Just my two cents of course!
