Tascam 122 cassette deck playback issue

I just bought a Tascam 122 cassette deck. It rewinds and fast forwards, but when I push play it will run for a second and then stops. Does any one have any idea how to fix this?

Most certainly. Take off and lubricate the reel table, lubricate the counter bearing where the belt goes onto the magnetic wheel and then place the right belt on the unit. I would suggest a lot more maintenance on that old a unit as I know what other problems they have but this is to start.
