For those of you who know of me, I have for many years donated many hours to helping people fix their tape decks. This is also the business I am in. Well at some point in the past Teac stopped selling the gears for the 122 Mk III and many other units that used the same exact gear. We were all sunk if we could not get that part. Well in connection with other parts I have made by my machinist, he has been able to make these gears and they are now in stock for sale. I know they work because I have tested the produced ones in a machine here that needed them. They do work.
Now guessing that these were injection molded was on my part. But they were not now that we did a study on the original gear but that they are Resin Cast. This is the same way we are making them.
I have some for sale if you need them. Many service places have already contacted me and they are being shipped. I can be found as Skywave Tape Deck Repair in Chicago area.
If you need the unit fixed but you don't want to do it contact me.
