Tascam 16x08 direct in recording, does it keep the signal unbalanced or convert it to balanced?

Hi, I have a Tascam 16x08 and want to record a direct in unbalanced guitar signal into input 9 or 10 with the INST switch selected, and record it in Reaper, then later output the unbalanced signal into a guitar amp to reamp the signal and record it with a Mic. Will the 16x08 keep the unbalanced signal unbalanced in input 9 or 10 with the switch set to INST, or will it convert it to a balanced signal? Thanks!

All of the outputs are balanced. They are also LINE level/impedance, which would be less than ideal for feeding to an amp. This will be true of most any interface.
