This is the first song a recorded an tascacam dp 24 I own a neo also go ahead an give me some pointers I m having a harder mastering on this machine. I can't seem to get any volume .first. Song I did on the 2488 neo second on the dp 24

I can't seem to get any volume...on the DP-24

Look in the Productivity Tips sticky in the 2488/DP-24/32/SD forum for a post on "Mastering Song Volume Levels".

I like the performances, very nice!
However, in both songs I hear some serious compressor pumping going on. In 'What Can I Say' it sounds like the guitar is pushing away the rest of the instruments. In Turpentine I'm not sure what's going on but it's something similar.. Maybe you can share what processing was done to the tracks?

You know I tried the normalized or only and then the 3 band compressor I dont like the the normalizer it was way easier for me to master with the 2488 neo here's one I did on the neo I recorded the 2 guitars and the drums live then went back and did the vocals and bass just sounds better on the neo think

It's always not about the tools, but how you use them. If you were as proficient on the DP machine the results would be better.
