Tascam 424 issue

Hello everyone! I have an issue with my Tascam.

While recording on a cassette there is a huge low-frequency noise.
What is the reason? Any ideas?

It is hard to tell what that is without seeing the unit- could be what you have hooked up to it or even a power supply issue after all these years. The 424 is a relatively newer unit unlike the 144 and 244 decks.

Have you tried to distance the adapter and any other type of adapter from the deck? I know I had to do that with my 424 in order to prevent humming noise.

I forgot to mention that the reason of issue was adapter - I change it and everything works fine!
