Tascam 788 Firmware ISO Files

If you read the thread from the top, what you need is the Tascam CD burner to flash the 788 with. That's what the firmware file is for: you burn it to a CD, and the CD updates the 788.

Yes, thank you, I know. But I don't have a CD recorder and I can't buy one. But even if I had a CD recorder, I wouldn't be able to flash the flash memory from it, because the firmware version I have (1.02) doesn't allow it. So I'll flash the flash memory chip with version 2.02 in the programmer and install it in the device. Now I'm waiting for the ordered chip and adapter board for the programmer.

If the firmware file is encrypted, then I won't succeed. I'll hope for the best. If anyone has firmware version 1.02 - send it, please, I'll try to read the memory that I have installed and compare.

Unfortunately, flashing the ISO file to the flash memory chip did not work. I tried reading the chip with version 1.02, which I have installed, and then loading the read dump into another chip. And with the other chip, the device worked fine. If anyone has the ability to read a flash memory chip with firmware version 2.02, I can flash my chip and tell you the result.
