Hey there.
My Tascam doesn't boot anymore. It is hanging on the "Welcome Screen". ( Before that, the Message "Out of SRAM" was shown.
Today I tried this solution:
So I changed the battery, and yes, the SRAM error disappears. But still, when I power on the Tascam, just the Logo (Welcome Screen) is shown.
Nothing happens anymore.
It was never moved in the last year. So nothing (probably) can't be broken inside..?
Any ideas, clues, or something that can help me?
Thanks & best,
tL
(FYI: This is an old unit. Getting it to a repair shop is not really worth it.
Though it has a meterbridge and the FireWire card...)

Mine was throwing SRAM errors on boot, until the battery finally failed. I should not have put it off for so long and just done the replacement.
Battery for the DM-3200/4800 is regular CR2032 3v. Follow the below instructions to replace it.
Opening the mixer:
- Unscrew the "wood" sides (8 screws in total, 4 per side)

- Remove the upper grille strip, it...
