Tascam dr-05 with external mic

Hi . i am filming a new project and i have a serious problem ... The microphone BY-VM190 does not conect to the recording device i have (Tascam dr-05) . Your help would be extremelly helpfull ..thank you very much!

How do you mean it does not connect? The stereo mini jack doesn't fit?
