Tascam Model 12 & Ableton Setup Issues

Howdy! I'm the very happy owner of a Model 12 but can't fully set it up on my Mac Studio.

Mac OS Ventura
Ableton 11.3
Model 12 w/ latest firmware

Despite setting up to the letter I'm getting sound but not control of ABleton faders. I get the output on channel 9&10 but nothing else. Entering DAW mode only mutes it all.

What gives?

What happens if you leave DAW mode on and unmute everything?
